The brief
A large Breach Candy apartment where living, lounge and dining all share one uninterrupted floor — the brief was to give that volume a centre of gravity without cutting it into rooms.

Designer's notes
The grey marble media wall is the anchor. Everything else steps back from it: pale oak underfoot, warm plaster on the columns, and a coved ceiling that carries light across the full depth of the plan rather than pooling it in one spot.
Walnut does the quiet work — fluted on the console, ribbed on the dining storage, framed in brass on the open shelving so the eye has something to travel along. Marble reappears at a smaller scale in the nesting coffee tables, which keeps the room reading as one material story.
The renders were built to test the evening condition first: cove light, shelf light and under-console light all on, daylight down. That is how the family will use the room most, and it is the hardest state to get right on paper.
